Older work:

Primary Colors, watercolor

This remains one of the top five of my favorite paintings.  It is small, approximately 6″ x 9″.  It was shortly after painting this in 2002 that I began to throw, splash and splatter watercolor onto large sheets to create patterns out of which I coaxed figures.

Maybe it is now the right time to return to this inspiration and nurture it.  Betty’s gift of paper leaves me without the excuse of worrying about the expense of working larger.

How exciting!  I can feel my heart pounding with enthusiasm.  I’ll need to clear a larger work area in my studio.  Maybe I’ll even set up an outdoor studio as I had envisioned a few months ago using the 10′ x 10′ tent I used for outdoor art shows.
