A sketch within a sketch. Ink and Watercolor Wash

I enjoy beginning my day propped up in bed, sipping hot coffee and sketching.  I keep the vintage metal Winsor Newton field box on the bed stand so that I can easily add a wash of color to the sketch.  I have sketched the objects within view from my bed many times including the landscape seen through the two windows once the sun has come up.  For variety, I am beginning to draw sketches within and/or around other sketches attempting to design my sketchbook page in a collage-like fashion.

This drawing was done first using my Pelikan, fine point fountain pen with black Noodler’s Ink and washes of Payne’s Gray and Scarlet Red watercolor paint.
