After a yummy lunch at the Muscle Maker Grill, my father and I sat for another few minutes drawing in our sketchbooks. The only object left on the table (other than our sketchbooks) was a Dasani water bottle.
The two of us must appear a bit odd, both staring at a bottle and drawing, looking at our paper only when our pen is not moving and moving our pen only when we are not looking at the paper. He and I grow closer through our silence, both concentrating on the same, ordinary object. It is an unusual form of conversation.
